Infinix Mobility is known for its place in the smartphone industry, but not much is out there regarding the company’s wearables. Back in 2016, though, the company launched the Infinix X-Band, which is more of a wristband than a smartwatch.
Today, there’s a new Infinix Smart Watch that has sneaked into the market and is already doing rounds in Pakistan. By all means, this is what deserves the smartwatch tag. It carries model number XW01 and so far, Pakistanis can already grab one at a price of Rs 2,999, which is a little under Kshs 2,000.
The Infinix Smart Watch has a lot going for this price tag. The Infinix XW01 comes in two color shades of Black and Green. Both variants come with Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Blood Oxygen, and Sleep Monitoring sensors, support for Call Reminder, Rejection and Phone Messages (when connected to a smartphone), Alarm Clock, and is compatible with Android 4.4 and above, iOS 9.0 and above and Bluetooth 4.0 and above. Being a smartwatch, you also get apps like Facebook, Twitter, and so on.
Perhaps the major highlight of the Infinix Smart Watch is the included IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. With this feature, it means you can dive as deep as 1.5 meters and stay underwater for up to 30 minutes and when you come out, the watch will still be working.
Another cool feature of the Watch is called Raise Arm Bright Screen. As the name suggests, this feature brightens the screen when you raise your arm to check out a notification or time on the watch. You can also control music using the watch, remotely access the camera, check the weather and so on.
Keeping the Infinix Smart Watch alive is a 170mAh battery unit that is said to fill up in 2 hours and last up to 7 days when in use or up to 20 days on standby. The screen measures 1.3 inches and under the hood, you get a Swiss nRf52832 processor.
The Infinix XW01 isn’t available on Infinix Mall Kenya just yet, but we want to believe it’s on the way coming soon.
